Nusa Lembongan sits in the channel between Bali and Nusa Penida, creating unique diving conditions. Strong currents funnel through the strait, bringing cold, nutrient-rich water that attracts large marine life.
Mangrove Point is one of the most unique dives in Bali. You descend among the roots of mangrove trees into a shallow coral garden teeming with juvenile fish, cuttlefish, and nudibranchs. The filtered light through the mangrove canopy creates an ethereal atmosphere.
Blue Corner is an advanced drift dive where you ride the current along a wall, watching for reef sharks, manta rays, and schooling trevally in the blue water. The current can be strong and unpredictable, requiring Advanced certification and drift dive experience.
Crystal Bay on the Lembongan side offers mola mola sightings from July to October, similar to the Nusa Penida side. The entry is from a beautiful white sand beach, and the dive descends along a coral slope into deeper blue water where the sunfish appear.
Lembongan is accessible as a day trip from south Bali (30 minutes by fast boat from Sanur) or as part of a multi-day Nusa islands diving package. We recommend combining Lembongan with Nusa Penida for a full 2-3 day dive trip.
