Bali, and Canggu in particular, is one of the world's best destinations for solo travelers. The digital nomad and backpacker community is welcoming, and diving is inherently social -- you always dive with a buddy.
When you book a dive trip with us, you will be grouped with other divers of similar experience levels. This is how lasting friendships start -- there is nothing like shared underwater experiences to create bonds.
Canggu's community makes it easy to connect: coworking spaces, yoga studios, surf schools, and the cafe scene all attract solo travelers. Many of our guests come alone and leave with dive buddies they stay in touch with for years.
Safety for solo travelers: all our dive trips include full supervision, transport, and group sizes of 2-4 divers per guide. You are never truly alone on a dive. We also arrange WhatsApp groups for dive trips so you can connect with your group before the day.
Accommodation: Canggu has excellent hostels with social atmospheres (Rp 100.000-200.000/night) and private rooms in guesthouses (Rp 300.000-500.000/night). Many are within walking distance of our shop.
Top tip: join a multi-day dive package and you will naturally form a small group. Our 3-day PADI Open Water course is particularly great for solo travelers -- you learn to dive with 2-3 other people and bond over the shared experience.
