About the PADI Open Water Course
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world's most popular scuba certification. Over three days, you will master essential diving theory, practice skills in confined water, and complete four open water dives at Bali's best dive sites. Upon completion, you earn a lifetime certification that allows you to dive independently anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 meters. Our experienced PADI instructors keep class sizes small for personalized attention and a safe learning environment.
Bali is considered one of the best places in the world to earn your PADI Open Water certification. The warm water (27-29C), excellent visibility, and incredible marine biodiversity make every training dive feel like a real adventure rather than a classroom exercise. Our instructors combine professional instruction with genuine enthusiasm for the underwater world, creating a learning environment that is both safe and inspiring.
We keep class sizes at a maximum of 4 students per instructor throughout the entire course. This means you receive personalized attention, can progress at a comfortable pace, and develop solid diving skills before your certification is complete. Bali gives us access to diverse training environments: calm shallow reefs for early skill practice and more spectacular sites for your final open water dives.
3-Day Course Schedule
Theory & Confined Water
Theory: dive physics, equipment, safety, dive planning (or e-learning pre-completed). Confined water: 5 skill sessions in shallow water, practicing mask clearing, buoyancy, and emergency procedures.
First 2 Open Water Dives
Your first two supervised dives in the ocean. Apply the skills learned in confined water in real conditions. Explore a beautiful reef with your instructor. Two dives at a carefully selected beginner-friendly site.
Final 2 Open Water Dives + Certification
Complete your two final open water dives demonstrating confident skill execution. Upon successful completion, your PADI Open Water certification is submitted and you receive your card -- valid for life, worldwide.

How long does the PADI Open Water course take?
3 days in Bali. You can shorten Day 1 by completing PADI e-learning theory online before you arrive. Ask us for access details when you book.
Is the certification valid worldwide?
Yes. PADI Open Water is a lifetime certification recognized worldwide. You can dive to 18 meters independently anywhere in the world and rent gear from any dive shop.
Do I need to book all 3 days consecutively?
We recommend doing all 3 days consecutively for the best learning experience and skills retention. However, if your schedule requires a break between Day 1 and Days 2-3, this can sometimes be arranged.
What if I cannot complete a skill on the first try?
That is completely normal and expected. Our instructors are patient and experienced. We practice each skill until you feel comfortable and confident. The course is student-paced, not time-pressured.
